Each year the HBCA hopes to award 8 $500 scholarships to deserving senior student-athletes, nominated by their coach. Four are available to boys and four are available to girls
The requirements are that the player must be a senior and a nomination letter must be submitted and signed by both the coach and principal. To nominate, fill out the form below, then download, fill out, and send the nominating template.

Our Hall of Excellence is a platform to honor the various individuals who have made significant contributions through the years since the inception of the Hoosier Basketball Coaches Association in 1986 to make high school basketball in Southern Indiana better for coaches, players, fans, etc.
The players below have been voted upon by the HBCA member coaches to be recognized as among the best senior players in Southern Indiana! While this is a notable honor, only about half of these players will be invited to play at the Annual All-Star Classic after HBCA members vote on the Regional All-Star ballots.
You are free to share these results with the players and press, however, please refrain from telling players that they will be playing in the All-Star Classic until after the Regional All-Stars have been announced!

Every year HBCA member coaches vote on senior players in their District to determine who is named to the All-District team and as Regional All-Stars. While being named to the All-District Team is a great achievement, only the Regional All-Stars are invited to participate in our annual Spring All-Star Classic game, which will be held at North Daviess High School in Elnora, Indiana, this year.
You can pre-order your tickets for $7, by clicking the link below. Tickets will also be available at the gate for $7 as well. Each ticket will be good for both games! Once again ISC sports network will stream both All-Star games. You can go to https://www.iscsportsnetwork.com to purchase the stream. We will push out direct stream link and cost the week of the All-Star Game.

It is a firm belief by all members of the HBCA that academics play a pivotal role in making a well-rounded basketball player and that tremendous effort in the classroom should be recognized.
Teams with at least a 3.0 GPA and players with at least a 3.2 GPA are eligible for placement on the honors court.
